Fertilizers

Efficient use of secondary products in fertilizer production

Areas used agriculturally in general tend to need nutrients, which are provided in form of adding fertilizers to the ground. The most important components in the production of a chemical fertilizer are

  • nitrogen
  • phosphate
  • sulphur
  • potassium salts

A special focus of AGNAT is the trade of ammonium sulphate solutions. However, due to the fact that the fertiliser phase in agriculture is limited to only a few weeks a year later, but the ammonium sulphate solutions is caused by production, a continuous decrease in the product must also be guaranteed. AGNAT organises all services required for its customers in this context, starting with punctual collection by truck at the seisary point, right up to warehouse logistics in the fertiliser-free period.

Denitrification

The reduction of NOx in flue gases from industrial plants is an essential part of meeting the air pollution control limits set by EU directives and implemented by the Federal Government in the Federal Immission Control Act.

For many years, AGNAT has made it its mission to supply the cement industry in particular with secondary products to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the flue gas.

In this non-catalytic process (SNCR), operation usually requires ammonia in aqueous solution. At the same time, the producer of the ammonia water is offered a useful solution for the utilisation of its by-product.

With the use of industrial ammonia waters as denitrifiers, AGNAT offers all participating partners a classic “win-win” solution!
